How to Show Thanks to Your Business This Holiday Season

Tis’ the season for leaf stomping, cider sipping, and giving thanks! As soon as October begins to come to a close, you can just feel the warm fuzzies in the people who surround you. This time of year seems to bring out the best in everyone, and, for that, we should all be thankful!

As you go around giving thanks to your friends, family, and neighbors this year don’t forget to show a little extra love to your business! Typically, apart from your family, business owners tend to spend most of their time with their start-up and prioritize it over anything else so it’s time to give some thanks for all of its hard work over the year.

Put aside some time and money for market research.

One way you can really give back to your business as the year prepares to close is to focus on what does and doesn’t work in terms of marketing. Make a list of potential marketing tactics you can put in to action, and try a new tactic every month or so as the New Year begins. Test out a little bit of everything regardless of price – a few things that cost a little and a few that are a bit pricier – and see what works for you! This can include anything from testing out paid Facebook advertising to using a different press release service.

Keep track of the traffic you get back from these efforts, and before half of the year is up, hopefully you’ll have found some marketing techniques that really work for you and your business!

This is an easy way to not only spruce up the office, but to inspire yourself and your employees to come to work every day with great attitudes. It’s easy to get dragged down by the same ol’ routine, but a newly decorated office can really liven the business up a bit! Plus, as you and your team tends to spend a lot of time in your office space; you should want to work in an aesthetically pleasing environment.

Recently, we held a fun little wine and canvas event where our employees got to relax with a glass of wine and try their creative hands at some canvas painting after a long week of work. We ended up with a lot of very creative, very nice works of art that perfectly depict the personalities that fill our office to hang on the walls!

Thank your employees.

Lastly, thank the people who truly help run your business alongside you. Throw them a party (I hear wine and canvas events are pretty awesome!), write some thank you cards, or purchase the team a new fancy coffee pot, but give back to your team in a way that shows them how much you appreciate all their hard work.
