New 1099-K Requirements for Tax Year 2011

Online sellers, including eBay, Etsy and Amazon who have $20,000 or more in gross sales and 200 transactions or more will now receive 1099-K forms from their third-party payment networks (e.g. PayPal) showing gross sales reported to the IRS. It may sound scary, but don’t worry. There’s help.

2012 Tax Dates
and Deadlines

January 31
Deadline for ecommerce providers (e.g. PayPal, Amazon Services) to send 1099-K forms to online sellers
April 17
  • Deadline to file your Federal Income Tax Return with IRS
  • Deadline to file for Tax Extension for your Federal Tax Return. Note: If you owe money 4/17 is deadline to pay
  • Deadline to file your State Income Tax Return for most states. Check your states filing deadline
